We’ve been alerted to a survey being carried out by the WHO about Priority Assistive Products – including aids for mobility and AAC. They are aiming to identify the top 50 technologies which people use to improve their lives.

There are several sections on different types of technology before you get to the AAC section – do take part! The survey is available in many different languages and open until 3rd March.
OIC: The Cambodia Project is an initiative working to establish speech therapy in Cambodia for people with communication and swallowing disabilities. They are looking for a Speech Therapy coordinator to be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia who will be one of less than 10 Speech and Language Therapists in the entire country! Chance for Childhood and Kenyan partner organisations KUAP Pandipieri and Yellow House are launching this month a 4 year project “LEAP from the street – Learning, Educating and Protecting” funded by Comic Relief.
They are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Yellow House team in Kisumu. For further details, see here.
A new resource has become available this week and might be useful for anyone who is or has been a health volunteer globally. It provides a tool for volunteers to reflect on the skills, knowledge and competences they have gained while while abroad and how they can bring that back to the NHS and feed it into their appraisal process
